[PF] Caster Level Variant

This house rule was originally derived from the Unearthed Arcana: Magic Rating Variant. This caster level variant makes multi-classed spell casters a more viable play option.

Caster Level Variant

Caster level from other classes stack for a combined caster level. Classes that are not full casters provide a fraction of caster level that also stacks (rounding down):

Artificer*, Archivist*, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Magus, Oracle, Sorcerer, Summoner, Wizard = 1 Caster Level
Alchemist, Inquisitor, Paladin, Ranger = 1/2 Caster Level
Cavalier, Barbarian, Fighter, Gunslinger, Monk, Ninja, Rogue, Samurai = 1/4 Caster Level
